The Texas 4000, a group of current and former University of Texas students who make the remarkable bicycle ride from Texas to Alaska to fight and raise cancer awareness, donated $50,000 to the American Cancer Society’s Houston Hope Lodge. One last note, my name is Jesse. This marks my first post and first week interning for the American Cancer Society High Plains division in Austin, TX. I look forward to many comments, user contributions and many more blog posts this semester.

I am the co-chair of an ACS bike event that raises awareness and funds for our two Ohio Hope Lodges and other patient services. – The Pan Ohio Hope Ride, 7/30-8/02/09 — it’s our third annual ride. A four-day ride, with overnights on college campuses — we pedal from our Cleveland Hope Lodge to our Cincinnati Hope Lodge.
